Description

Pobail Stomp is proud to present Swing Go Tapaidh! It is a faster floor, intended for rarer styles of swing dancing and those looking for a challenge. It starts with a class and ends with a social: do note that registrations for the class are handled online!

The class this month is ELEF (Everybody Leads, Everybody Follows) St Louis Shag! You will have the opportunity to work on both your leading and following skills: no need to worry about signing up with a partner.

St. Louis Shag emerged in St. Louis, Missouri during the mid-1930s and was dance alongside other regional dances, including Lindy Hop. In contemporary swing dance, St. Louis Shag is often dance as a stand-alone style and is often combined with Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, and Balboa.

We have a code of conduct available at our sign-in desk, which is currently available in English, Italian & Spanish. Please contact any of the volunteers if you’re unsure about any details or have been made uncomfortable by someone.
