Description

PRE-REQUISITES: Open to all, but please note that the pace is faster and the content more advanced. This class is best suited for dancers with previous solo jazz experience familiar with Half Break, Tackie Annie and Shorty George.

Bli-Blip is a 1942 Soundie featuring Paul White and Marie Bryant, with music by Duke Ellington and his Orchestra. This iconic routine is full of rhythm, musicality, and expression.

Over the course of four weeks, you’ll learn and explore this classic choreography while working with intricate footwork and playful rhythmic variations. The routine also introduces tap-inspired steps such as the shuffle and the buffalo step, giving you new tools to expand your solo jazz vocabulary.
