Description

We are delighted to announce that international teachers Yulia and Sasha will be teaching a balboa workshop (for improvers upwards) on 19th October followed by our monthly social, Balboa Beckons.

When?

Sunday 19th October 2025

11.45: Doors open

12.00-14.15: Workshop (with short water break in the middle)

14.15-18.00: Balboa Beckons social dance, with music from our lovely DJs

Teachers

Yulia and Sasha are easily recognisable for their zippy yet smooth style. They are two times California Balboa Classic winners, and 6-time Pure Balboa Classic champions and teach at dance weekends across Europe.

In class, they encourage their students to appreciate the joyful energy of balboa, its subtle humour and the precious opportunity to be in the moment with the music and one another. They have studied the history of the dance and partnership dynamics and have a lovely focus on different aspects of musicality.
