Jive Me To The Moon

No prior experience required. Classes start from zero: the basic steps, timing, and vocabulary of the dance, plus core concepts such as posture, weight transfer, and rhythm - and, in partnered styles, an introduction to leading and following. Nothing is assumed, and nothing is skipped.

A fun and dynamic class suitable for dancers with some previous experience. We’ll work on a variety of steps, combinations, and routines, with a focus on improving technique, musicality, coordination, and confidence. The class is suitable for anyone who already has a basic understanding of the dance style and would like to keep developing their skills while having fun and enjoying the music. Not quite a beginner, but not looking for an advanced class? This is the level for you!

For dancers with a solid understanding of the basics who are ready for a bigger challenge. This class introduces more complex steps, faster combinations, and more detailed routines, with a greater focus on technique, styling, and musicality. You should feel confident with the fundamental steps and be comfortable picking up new combinations at a quicker pace.

Students have a strong technical foundation and a broad vocabulary, and they pick up new material quickly. The focus shifts from what the movement is to how it is executed: styling, musicality, more complex rhythms and footwork, and smoothness of transitions - plus, in partnered styles, a responsive connection that adapts to different partners. Most are dancing regularly outside class, socially or in a performance team.
