Description

You can choose between Fundamental classes, suitable for beginners and those wanting recap fundamental Balboa dance technique, and mixed Improvers & Intermediates classes.

For the beginner class, no partner or dance experience is required but you should note that Balboa is commonly dance in a close-embrace position, similar to Ballroom or Tango dancing. For the Improvers / Intermediates class, you should have at least two blocks of beginner classes or a weekend workshop.

A class is 45 minutes long and, in-between both classes, we have 30 minutes of practice time / social dancing. The classes can be booked as blocks of 3*, 4 or 5. If you book improvers / intermediates, you're welcome to come along to the beginners class also but we might kindly ask you to switch your dance role where required.

The venue, St Columba's by the Castle, is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet. There is a lift from the church main door. Seating is available in the hall.

*Sorry, no 3-week option for beginners, as we recommend that you don't miss too many classes when starting to learn this dance.
